Zoomday in Bologna: a great first time away from home!

A day full of insights, theoretical and practical advice, but above all moments of sharing: for the first time Zoomday lands in Bologna, thanks to our friends at Studio Samo who hosted us, and the result remains the same. That is, we say it with more than a hint of pride, a well-organized and structured event, which allowed participants to stay up-to-date on various aspects of SEO, the technical news of our suite and the main “practical” areas to focus optimization work towards.

Zoomday in Bologna, the report

For the first time away under the name Zoomday, then, our format of a mixed training event between theory and practice exceeded the challenge, as told by the many posts from the participants, who had actually already shown a very high interest in the event, with the 100 tickets sold out completely in just a few days.

The day was hosted at the Studio Samo headquarters, and it was Flavio Mazzanti and Jacopo Matteuzzi who did the honors and welcomed the 100 people registered, coming from various parts of Italy and with a heterogeneous profile – there were content creators, but also e-Commerce managers and technical SEOs.

The program included the usual moments of in-depth discussion on SEOZoom-related news and spaces for reflection on SEO trends, without ever forgetting the more direct focus on the practical, concrete and everyday applications of the information conveyed, which is the strength of the event.

The event program: focus on SEOZoom and SEO

Opening the training was Ivano Di Biasi with a talk on the core of the new SEOZoom release, in which he described the main features of the revamped version of the platform (and the differences from the old one, which is practically another software today), but also told some background on what is “under the hood” of the machine, including the motivations behind the search volume update (thanks to which SEOZoom can provide real search volumes, with more accurate estimates than those of competitors) and integration with Artificial Intelligence systems.

After a quick coffee break, Ivano then presented more specifically just the new text generation features via ChatGPT, present in both the Editorial Assistant and the brand new AI Tools section. The topic caught the attention of the audience, who literally overwhelmed our CEO with questions to better understand how these features work, which can be very useful to speed up copywriting work, especially for routine tasks (while not replacing human checking and review, as we always repeat).

It was then Giuseppe Liguori‘s turn to turn the page and guide the audience to the thorny topic of technical SEO, which can be the first step toward site success: there are so many aspects to analyze and the right expertise is needed to avoid disastrous mistakes, but fortunately some tools help us to check that everything is in order, such as SEO Spider or the new Core Web Vitals tool.

In the afternoon, the works resumed with Elisa Contessotto‘s speech on kewyord research and the use of SEOZoom to define a monthly and quarterly work plan, composed of planning new content but also on the activity of updating and optimizing an already published content, which can be a profitable source of traffic if done correctly and strategically.

The last speech, on the other hand, was run again by Ivano and Elisa, who showed a different approach to SEOZoom’s features and, in particular, to the killer features, i.e., tools that can save hours and days of work by automating a series of processes and analyses that are impossible to do by hand, but that risk remaining unnoticed or unused without the right awareness.

The final “treat” offered to the participants was the panel discussion, focused on the in-depth analysis of five sites suggested by the very audience at the opening session and selected to offer as broad a picture as possible and applicable to each context – e-commerce site, WordPress platform and so on.

Handling this full hour of actual consulting were Giuseppe Liguori, Carmine Di Donato of SEO Cube Agency and Flavio Mazzanti, Ilaria Nardinocchi and Mattia Cantoni of Studio Samo, who showed a series of frequent errors on sites (regardless of specifics) and the main onpage optimization interventions, such as meta tag management or performance verification.

After so much “training” and so much information, the day ended with lighter moment, an aperitif that became a useful opportunity to network and to continue in the exchange of jokes and questions from the participants.

Zoomday events, ready to go again

Even during the cocktail hour, many people thanked us for the event and spoke good words for the organization (to which Studio Samo deserves credit), but most importantly, they asked us “when will the next Zoomday be?” Our goal is to continue touring this format, keeping the approach unchanged, and already in the coming weeks there may be news on this front.
