WMF23: three days of incredible emotions

A full and very well attended auditorium, many visitors at the booth to ask for information and receive demonstrations on the suite in real time, gadgets that flew away in the span of very few hours and then many smiles, hugs and emotions: the three days of We Make Future in Rimini close for us with a decidedly positive balance in all aspects, and we are sure that similar are the feelings of those who experienced the event with us.

The SEOZoom stage at WMF23: what we talked about

Let’s start right away with the report of the day of Friday, June 16, entirely dedicated to our “event within the event,” which managed to fill the Olivetti hall (as many as 400 seats available) for a long time: we tried to make our speeches even more direct and practical, adapting to the format of the event with case studies, strategies and practical examples to condense everything you need to know about the most important topics for a web project, and the feedback we got gives us hope that we hit the mark!

Opening the proceedings was Ivano Di Biasi, who told a bit of trivia about the birth of SEOZoom itself, revealing some background and “behind the scenes” stories related precisely to the development and debut of the suite. By understanding the initial spirit that guided the creation of the various tools, in fact, it may be easier to approach the tools and apply them concretely to a site’s optimization strategies: in fact, SEOZoom was born precisely to simplify the operations of the SEO Cube Web Agency, automating a series of analysis and research processes that, done by hand, were too time-consuming and prevented the agency itself from working on multiple jobs in a consistently effective manner.

It was then Giuseppe Liguori‘s turn to get down to more technical and “on the ground” details: in his talk, our CTO was able to take the audience through a “step by step SEO Audit,” identifying all the critical areas of the site, from the technical to the strategic, that block the potential of a project. The first step is “don’t be afraid” of the SEO Audit, because behind this so technical and scary expression lies a kind of complete check-up for a website, which can precisely help us understand why our site is not getting the traffic we want or why we are not achieving our goals.

Much appreciated was also the speech by Elisa Contessotto, who shared her 5 simple daily exercises to keep a site in shape and well trained: in particular, we need to constantly develop the muscles that allow our project to be strong (able to fight with competitors), agile (able to adapt to internal and external changes) and flexible (ready to create always new connections), and our Elisa told what are the steps/exercises needed for each of these operations.

It was impossible not to talk about Artificial Intelligence, a more than hot topic of the last months in so many professional fields, communication and SEO included: therefore, Gennaro Mancini tried to shed some light on the topic, defining what generative artificial intelligence is, what are its opportunities and possible drawbacks and dangers, and then demonstrating how it can concretely support the activity of writing content for a site. In his talk, in fact, he presented the results of a case study performed in the past months here on the blog, revealing the returns achieved by articles written entirely through AI and those, on the other hand, achieved after old-fashioned content optimization work with direct copy intervention.

For the last talk, Ivano Di Biasi returned to the stage, who wanted to address the topic of link building without the misconceptions that now often accompany this activity: if well executed, in fact, the outreach phase is one of the most important for a website, because it serves to consolidate the digital presence and prove to Google the authority for a topic. But, precisely, it is necessary to stay away from easy ways and the temptation to launch into just buying links quickly: again, we always talk about the strategy behind every link (or mention) we manage to win.

An always lively booth

And if the SEOZoom Stage involved us “only” on Friday, much more active (and busy) was the work at the SEOZoom booth, where our team met friends, users and curious people interested in learning something about the suite (and also about the promotions reserved for the fair attendees) or to receive one of our beautiful gadgets, which in fact run out in no time!

From the morning of Thursday, June 15, until late afternoon on Saturday, June 17, we basically never stopped: we did live demos of the suite, told about the latest innovations among the features, explained what SEOZoom is to those who had never heard of it or to those who had only tried other software (and were intent on changing), answered technical questions about using the tools, gave tips, and much more. Among the happiest notes, we are also pleased to mention the interest found among an international audience – this year the WMF focused a lot on opening up to foreign participants, and the visits to our booth proved that the action worked – who were able to discover how the suite works even on foreign databases thanks to the excellent support provided by our international assistance, just as many were the “likes,” shares, comments and posts that arrived from social channels, through which we recounted various angles of these days.

But beyond the aspect related purely to “work,” it was really a pleasure to see and almost touch the attention there is towards our SEOZoom, receiving certificates of appreciation and affection from those who use it every day.

As our italian trainer Elisa wrote on her social platforms, we try to work and build something every day with energy, expertise, passion: it is an immense thrill to see that all the effort creates a virtuous flow of reciprocity, and the words and gestures of appreciation we received will be lifeblood in the coming months to continue to create something beautiful together.
