New feature: SECTIONS
Important update for managing your projects and for more in-depth analysis: a new feature was released today, the “SECTIONS” section within the PROJECTS area.
In summary, from this area you can monitor the performance of each individual part of your site; in practice, it is like creating individual “micro-projects” related to a specific portion of the site. In this way, for example, you can monitor the performance of specific categories of an eCommerce (but not only) , or you can separately analyze the performance of an eCommerce and that of the blog in subdirectory.
From a technical point of view, section metrics are calculated at the same time as those of the entire project, so once a day; when adding a new section, you have to wait until the project is scanned in its entirety to get the first results.
The information is distributed in five TABs: Overview, Top Pages and Keywords, Pages with Potential, and Underperforming Pages. The latter provide the most useful information for optimizing one’s project: in fact, it is the list of web pages in the section that are in the vicinity of the first page of Google or that are not positioned even with a keyword in TOP 10, and therefore need SEO-side interventions for improvement.
