Link Juice

Link Juice is an informal expression to describe the same concept as link equity, and thus to describe the value that a link passes from one page to another. More precisely, link juice is often used to describe the “juice” or SEO value that an internal link or backlink from another site passes from one page to another.

It is an unofficial concept in the SEO world that describes the transfer of ranking power and authority through links.

Link juice is influenced by various factors, such as the reputation of the source site, the relevance of the linked content, and the location of the link on the page; in addition, theoretically, the presence of a nofollow attribute prevents the transfer of juice, although Google may ignore this indication.

In a broader sense, link juice focuses more on the immediate passage of value through links, while link equity has a broader connotation that includes the quality and duration of value a link can provide over time. Despite these nuances, in everyday SEO practice the two terms are often used synonymously to refer to the value conveyed by a link to another site.
