Hashtag

A hashtag is a type of metadata used on social media to group posts on a particular topic; specifically, they are preceded by the hash symbol (#) followed by a word or phrase without spaces. For example, #DigitalMarketing might be used in a social media post about digital marketing strategies.

Hashtags are clickable and allow users to easily follow discussions about a specific topic in social media platforms such as Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Their operation is similar to that of WordPress tags.
