Deep Linking

Deep linking is the practice of creating a link that points to a specific page, image, or resource on a Web site, instead of to the site’s home page.

Also often referred to simply as “direct linking,” deep linking allows the user to go deep into the remote site, bypassing the home page and all intermediate pages on the site.

This can improve the user’s experience by guiding them directly to the information they are looking for, and it can also help improve a page’s SEO by making it more visible to search engines.
