Cloaking is an incorrect SEO technique – one of the so-called black hat tactics – that presents different content to search engines and users. For example, a page might display keyword-rich text to search engines to improve ranking, but display images or Flash to users.

This practice is considered deceptive and can lead to penalties from search engines.
